Best camo for the suburbs?

Post by fdsman » Mon Mar 29, 2010 9:00 pm

Suppose there was a war in a suburb area much like your street, what would be the best camo to have?

1) Invisibility...don't want to be seen at all.
2) M1A2 Tank... don't care if I'm seen.

Personally I will use a single color scheme, as the IDF still uses OD green for their outfits still. From what I can tell IDF pretty much only fight in the deserts in it early days and they fight only in the cities currently.

Avoid moving at daylight.. because nothing hides you in a concrete jungle..

Use whatever you like at darkness.. and use some goofy hat to mask your body contours.. like the israelis do.

At daylight using camo in a city is only to tell friend from foe imho..
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

I would agree with some of the other posts: use something like the IDF uses, a simple OD green and something to break up your outline. Also moving around at dark does help.

I know I have posted this before, but I am highly impressed with this

Ignore the dumb trade show background. It looks ideal for the grey concrete and dust monotones of the urban background.

I thought I post this here too, as there are quite a few vids on Ghillies and Camo.

From what I have learned about breaking your outline is best to break up your shoulders area. (the videos teaches that too) Check out the youtube link it will tell you the bits and pieces on making you harder to detect.

For example there's one part that teach you how to break your rifle outline, which seems pretty useful to me.
