Multicam uniform intel needed

Because I use an pair of US-made Bates M9 desert boots, and I have a pair of Bates Tora Bora mountaineering boots on order, I need some intel about Multicam uniforms. So, if anyone here used this pattern, please share your opinions, pro or contra. Also, I need some online stores to order, seems to be very hard to find in Europe. I love the ACU uniform design (very confortable and lot of smart placed pockets), but the pattern sucks.

Multicam is the most useless camo ever;

It's ment to be used everywhere.. but it's to light for woodland, and to dark for desert..
And also completely useless in urban areas..

Green forrests = CADPAT (Canadian Pattern Camo), Dansktarn (Danish camo), British DPM camo, Dutch camo (very similar to the british), italian vegetato camo

Needle forrests = Flecktarn

Desert = Dutch desert camo, Old (3 or 6 coloured) American desert camo

Stay away from American woodland, french woodland, multicam, ACU, etc..

I disagree. Maybe it's our different environments?

Multicam works very well here in southern Florida. It blends well with several different environments here.

EDIT: Here's a link to some photo tests, that I believe are from Germany.

I have Romanian camouflage, which is identical with british/dutch DPM, I have Flecktarn, I have ACU. But I want to try some Multicam... So, I'm looking for advices and wanna buy two pairs of pants and a jacket, same design as ACU. For my collection :D

It's with the romanian vegetation ;)
And it's made to "blend in" everywhere, something that simply can't be achieved by any camo.
The only solution to this is to use the german invention "wende tarn". Simply one side of a jacket / trousers is printed with camo 1, and the other side with camo 2.. that can simply be flipped over..

And yes, with a dry soil ground, with minor or dry vegetation, multicam might work, but not for the thing that is has been designed for..

And AK70.. how can it be identical if the british (more green) and dutch camo (more brown/yellow) aren't identical to eachother?

And i thought they had this camo in Romania:

Or is that an older type?

And about ACU; it's only usefull to hide from your mother in law

Just to make sure.

This:

is "all terrain"

and this

is "Multicam"

To me, "multicam" will blend in as good as "good old woodland pattern".

To me old american woodland is also a bit to light coloured (white-ish) for European forrests..
I prefer DPM (Dutch or Brittish) for green forrests, and Flecktarn for needleforrests / allround..

Ted, this is the last photo I have as active soldier. This camouflage model was discontinued and replaced in 2005. It was effective, as long as you take elementary precautions (move in the shadow, slowly, don't make fast/sudden moves). But in these conditions, I think any "green" camo will be ok...

So, I think I can spend some money on Multicam... Anyone here know where I can find 2 pairs of pants and one jacket, ACU design, at moderate prices? I guess I'll pay the S&H fees, and I don't want to sell my knidneys for it.

As multicam was never issued to any army, it is difficult to get it as cheap an e.g. withdrawn from service woodland US or Flecktarn Bundeswehr clothings.

See this German ebay auction of a ACU style multicam pattern. But take a seat first...

I guess, woodland MARPAT or CADPAT is less expansive and available than this multicam

Olli, I think that with 150 euros and a little help from our US friends, I'll get my two pants and the jacket, including S&H...
