Buck Bravo Knife - great pocket knife
Buck Bravo Knife - great pocket knife
This looks and definitely feels like a sturdy knife...everything from the handle, pocket clip, liner lock and blade looks like it can take some abuse. Like I said, it's a bit on the heavy side for a pocket knife, but not to the point that it's uncomfortable. Definitely sturdier than the Spyderco knives I have.

You bought a knife with the tip pre-broken?

It's called tanto..
It's really much better then a conventional tip..
I bought myself a Eickhorn KM2000.. not a pockey knife.. but also a tanto..
As a pocket knife.. nothing beats a victorinox 2001-2007 issue Dutch army knife (Swiss made).. the new ones are onehand open.. I have a 2009 issue Dutch and German one in use now.. but I prefer the older Dutch model..

The new dutch model.. the fish descale tool is perfect to cut baguettes..

The civil version of the German version..
And yes, stainless steel has to be sharpened quite often.. buttt..
It doesn't rust.. it always functions, you can do a LOT with it..

Civil version of the old Dutch version.. the best knife I had..
All knives have better qualities then this knife, but this knife has the best overall use.. really.. and they aren't thát expensive at all.. If you find one.. be sure to buy one, you won't regret it

Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

Never heard of a tanto tip.
Whats its advantages? Looks less than efficient just from the picture.
A stabbing point can be useful

the Dutch one is made under license by zwanenburg..
I think they are a bit to thick, but if you wan't I can get you a brand new one..
The serrated blade is only sharpened on one side.. very.. very unpractical.. Easier to sharpen, and more cutting length.. but I prefer a straight blade aswell..
And the use of a tanto tip:
It still has a pointy tip, but with some more "body" behind it..
Doesnt brake of that easily as a coventional tip..
The top of the knife is sharpened.. so stabbing actually goes better with a tanto.. and they still have a "tip"..

I have this one with a flat handle

Tanto daggers can also be used as crowbars (wack it in like a wedge, then slap on the handle..)

Yep, but I have a civil one (no eagle on the sheet) but they are quite expensive.. bought it as a birthday present for myself
And.. when it first came out of the box.. it was razor sharp.. really, i could shave my arm with it..
Very impressive.. and it feels very sturdy.. it's quite a thick blade..
