My fiance and I have the Cabela's Westwind 6 person tent. So far its stood up to a heavy thunderstorm in Rhode Island with wind gusts of up to 50mph as well as excellent ventilation on a 90* day. Its built very well and was just about $200 with tax. Best part is the 6 person fits an inflatable queen size air mattress with plenty of room to spare for backpacks and a large cooler.

What is to use of camping when you take your home with you?

Camping is all about wet shoes, damp clothing, crappy food, lousy toilets, and waking up with a huge headache, because you had to drink uncooled beer by a barely burning campfire, while freezing, in the middle of the summer.. full with musquito bites. OH.. and a grizzly bear chewing on your pet..
