No MRE's? No meat on the table? This is the last resort. I love that "Thump" sound, when you knock one down from about 35 feet up. Sort of tenderizes the meat, on the way down. 8) :D

We once had a badly wounded squirrel in a tree around here.. (attacked by a cat)
It was best to humanly euthanize it.. that's why we decided it had to be shot. My brother used his air rifle to stand directly underneeth it, and shoot it down, but forgot about the law of physics..

What goes up, must come down..
I'm not really into "fun" hunting.. and don't consider squirrels as varmints (in the Netherlands we have 200% different squirrels.. not the big grey ones from the US.. we have other ones, smaller ones, that only eat oaknuts and other nuts)

Note the normal lawn sized grass..

Aww! He is so cute. Nice little squirrel. Make no mistake, if cornered, he will pull one of your eyeballs out of the socket, and eat it, while you are running around in circles, screaming. 8) :D

Dekard, that squirrel is just mugging for the camera, because he knows what he's about to do, to those 2 green veggie's in the background. That guy looks like Al Bundy, with no idea whats in store, for him and his liberal girlfriend.

It's very, very, veeeery hard to corner them.
They will run up a wall of about every possible material (except for glass and plastic)
They can even climb zinc coated steel fences (the bar type)

I raised a bunch of those things while growing up myself.. they are very easy to adapt to people.
When the mother get's attacked by a cat or roadkilled the father abbandones the litter.. and you'll know soon enough. They simply start screaming after about a day. And those small muts CAN make sound, trust me..

The funniest thing about those thingies is, they are tame and simply can be set loose, they'll come back to check up once in a while.. And they bury their food for winterstorage during the summer..

In the springs, our whole backgarden were full with little oak plants that were popping out just about everywhere...

They make superb semi wild pets.. you don't keep them in a cage, but simply feed them once in a while.. if you do that from when theyre babies, they will be "bonded" to your garden for the rest of their lives.. It's very fun to watch in the summer.. They are really into doing parcours tracks.. so you can make a adventure track for them, with ropes, obstacles etc.. And they will find out about it by themselves, and try to come across as a for of entertainment..

He already set their Prius on fire so if they manage to make it to the parking lot alive they are in store for quite a surprise!
