American Icon: Les Paul

Post by DangerousDave » Fri Aug 14, 2009 12:22 am

Today, Les Paul, the actual inventer of the "Solid Body Electric Guitar", passed away at 94. Les was to the American music industry, what General George C. Marshall was, to the American Army and John Wayne was to the American movie industry.

Not a Les Paul, but I like the flat tops!

:( 94's a nice age to pass away.. It's still very sad, god bless

I'm also more of a flat type.. but I had some les pauls before (Gibson Les Paul "Classic" and a Gibson Robot "Les Paul")
(Now I'm more into flat tops.. the older ones were simply cheap to get used ones..)

Now I have 2 Ibanez G10s that I would trade for the world.. flats...
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

As I don't have a camera that works, this will have to do for a picture of my les paul. I wish I had the chance to see him play before he died..
