Happy New Year everyone!! It's New Year's Day in Japan and Australia by now and it'll be here soon for the rest of us!

It´s 4pm (16:00) in Germany.
We are preparing the punch for midnight, straight out of my Army Cambro Container
as we will get ~-10°C tonight (14°F) means I will have my ECWCS, bear suit, Matterhorns...

i was shocked as i saw out of the window a few minutes ago - very thick fog is comig up

Happy New Year from the Pacific Northwest.
Very cold and rainy...not to mention a lot of fireworks and gun fire.....oh well always start things off right and a bang.

We skipped it this year, but we usually go out of town to a local lake for New Years Eve. This place is located in a very "country" part of North Carolina. When midnight strikes, it sounds like a battlefield with all the guns being shot off. I usually sit there for a while listening and counting the rounds from the various guns...you can tell the handguns from the hunting rifles from the assault rifles from the fireworks. But then after a while, I start wondering where all those rounds are going to land and so I scurry back inside.
