I just heard a bunch of news, from various sources, that King Obama, is going to ignore the Posse Comitatis Act, and deploy 20K US active duty armed forces troops across America, as a law-enforcement role. Does anyone smell a rat here? Of course not! We've all got to make the buy, on the 39 inch Sony HDTV, the X360 box, with the Sleestak combat game cube, etc, and Hillary Clinton is the new SOS. I hear Bill, is secretly training to be the new Commander of U.S. Special Forces.

Hi,
so you have the choice between a fürher and a king? We are lucky with our "presidwarf"
The Army in the streets as a police force, is it what it means?
I can't imagine that in France!

Ist that like Marshal Law? Troops used to provide Law Enforcment?
Army as police.... that only really ever happens in the UK after some kind of terrorist attack then for some months after. Then they still are in a military capacity and are mainly to guard not really arrest.
E.g A british Schimitar ACP guarding the entrance to I think Heathrow airport plus a detachment of soldiers after intel suggested a possible ground to air missile attack on comercial jets. Also probably half the Metprolitian Police SO19 (Our Armed police*, similar to the US SWAT) were there aswel.
We have had army personel as Firemen during a strike about 3 years ago, the funny thing is thier Fire Engines/Trucks were build in the 1950's for reserve fire serivce incase the Ruskies attacked. A long chain of them pumping water from a reservior / river each one boosting the water pressure each time.
* Standard British Police do not carry firearms only a Extendable batton and a Can of CS spray, only a specially trainned unit in each Police force uses firearms.

That´s Legion, isn´t it
In Germany the military is not at all allowed to do any law enforcment duties.
Only (unarmed) "human aid", rescue works and technical back up in case of a natural desaster.
By law, our military is only allowed to defend attacks from OUTSIDE Germany by regular troops.
As terrorist aren´t "regular troops", it´s police duty over here, not military.

Dude, why are you blaming Obama for this? Remember the people who have been in charge the past 8 years? Why isn't Bush the rat here? HE is the guy who has systematically eradicated the rights of the American people. But now Obama is becoming president suddenly it's OK to talk about this stuff and question the motives of the president (who isn't even president yet). Question the administration of the past 8 years for a change, seriously.

GSG9 is police, not military. It´s the ninth group of the German former border police called "Bundesgrenzschutz".
They changed the name into "Bundespolizei" (federal police), as regular police is a state police.

Woohoo! We haven't had a good political fight here for at least four weeks! Time to jump into homemade flame-retardant suit made up of MRE bags and watch the festivities.
Oh wait...you mean those MRE bags *aren't* flame-retardant?!
