In a bizarre chain of events, the resurgent Taliban capture at least 13 Humvees.
November 10, 2008. Talibans in northwest Pakistan hijacked 13 trucks carrying supplies for Western forces in Afghanistan on Monday as they passed through the Khyber Pass, a government official said.

:D Yep those Humvee's have pretty large fueld tanks,

I've seen a MilSpec US Humvee driving around in the UK, the owner must be rich I couldnt afford to fuel one of those.
Also the same day saw a ww2 style Jeep and a East German NVA/Grenztruppen Trabant (That I really wanted :D )

Must have been a Military Vehicle show that day.

there were some ads during the communist period?
It was not anti-revolutionary?

Anyway there was only one car brand so no real need for a strong commercial campaign
The French army will use the Humvees ...when the fuel is for free

There was another east German company producing cars, called Wartburg. No card board body, a 4 stroke engine and not available...

The delivering time for a "Trabbi" was 18 years (serious - no kidding!!)
When a baby was born, the parents better ordered a car for him/her!

There will be some cheap 13 Humvees at www.Mobile.pakistan/taliban soon... if they don´t use them for car bombing inside NATO installations

appears that it was 13 trucks carrying 2 ARMORED humvees and food were ambushed in clear site of pakistani military at a nearby fort who did nothing to prevent the highjacking.

additional stories below - what is clear is that the media can't be trusted to report anything accurately and that someone owes us a tax refund for these hijacked armored humvees.
