The past two years has affected the world in so many ways it’s not easy to describe.

Hopefully, this New Year 2022 will be brighter and more positive than the last two years.

UKRAINE
This past week the world as seen tremendous disregard for human life after the brutal attack on Ukraine by Russia. There is some Ukrainian-Russo videos here on the forums. I will link to it here though it can't be built upon because it was locked for no apparent reason. The cycle of violence in Ukraine is unprecedented.

Prior to the Russian war on Ukraine it has been established that a new Cold War has begun.

Hopefully we don't come back to another 2008, 1987 or 1930s economical event.

A recession is looming around the corner, but thankfully Trump has indicated his intentions to run again. This time it’s different. The MAGA slogan is over because this time Trump is taking the nation ULTRA

It would probably be good if we had another recession like 1930. The wealth gap is larger than it was then, second only to the gilded age.

1930 wasn't a recession, it was a nearly complete collapse. One thing that isn't appreciated, in those days official unemployment figures did not count those who worked for or employed by the government, it was strictly private sector. Nor did they count Farmers. And this was when there were far more people living in rural areas, and employed in agriculture. As it was, the official employment numbers were 25% unemployed.

And there were no government programs or welfare to speak of. No WIC programs, no SNAP cards, no "benefits" no Social Security, no nothin'.

I agree that the "wealth gap" is huge now, but it is the cause of our troubles, not a symptom. The extremely wealthy use the poor people as a weapon against to eliminate the so-called middle class. A collapse would only make the disparity worse, not better, I expect.
