Movies Filmed in N. Carolina

Post by DangerousDave » Sun Aug 17, 2008 2:19 pm

I was just going through my plethora of old VHS tapes and came across "Maximum Overdrive". This has got to be Stephen Kings worst movie of all time, but it is entertaining, to say the least, and the AC/DC Who Made Who album music makes it worth while. :D

The book that movie was based on (or maybe it was a short story) was pretty good - but the movie was complete crap. Where was it filmed in North Carolina?

According to the credits, around Wilmington. You have to admit, some of the landscape looks like NC also. I agree Kman, the movie, though entertaining, is one of top 10 stupidest movies I've ever scene. The most retarded part was when the motorized mule with the M60 MG pulled up to the Dixie Boy. How did the weapon load itself with the 100 rd. carton, and charge itself. Who Made Who?

Yea, but that truck had a hand, shifting gears, and it was out West, like Arizona or New Mexico, definatley not NC. 8) Why did'nt the guy in the Plymouth Valiant just hard right and get of there? Thats what I'd do, if some crazy 18 wheeler was tailing me too close. :)

Dave-

I'm going to assume that if you were a nubile teenage girl you probably wouldn't go into the dark, spooky attic to see what is making chainsaw noises. That is what makes bad cinema bad, it requires that all the characters act in an inane fashion or the story can't take place.

That is why there will never be a Dangerous Dave movie, no one wants to watch some guy do the smart thing and avoid trouble. That and the fact that Arnold has got some government job. Although Eddie Murphy IS available.
