Texas Executes Mexican

Post by DangerousDave » Mon Aug 04, 2008 8:51 pm

As I post this, the Great State of Texas(Tehas for you Spanish folks) is about to put down this poor mexican illegal immigrant. Any thoughts? For some reason, I can't believe we've been feeding him corn for this long. God Bless Texas! :D

Texas is one of the last States that doesn't fool around with the death penalty. If you have the death penalty, use it. Don't put someone on death row and let them languish for 20 years like every other state BUT Texas seems to do.

This seems to be special case. For Tehas, I mean. Virginia is another area. Ricky Grey is about 5 years from the "Couch".

goodbye mr. meddelin i hope hell is hot. its a shame howl long it took for him to get justice. the 14 and 15 year old girls would have loved to have had 15 more years of life.

Tejas. It's Mexican, the j sounds like an h. Meh. Good they're killing him.. The best part about Bush was that he certainly didn't mind executing people.

[quote="BigMark"]Tejas. It's Mexican, the j sounds like an h....

:roll: The "j" sound is normal in Spanish.although the use of the "X",Te"x"as...Me"x"ico is vestige from the old castillian or medieval "spanish". The "X" was used instead of the "j",this because the "j" comes from the arabic influence in the spanish /castillian alphabet. :roll: .....instead of "Tejas" or "Méjico"....it was used with the "X". It had the smiliar sound in spanish.... :lol:
The letter "j" or "jota" (h-ota) was introduced later in the Spanish language.

Hi,
Interesting! I though "Mexico" was from the Nahuatl word “Mexica” and originally pronounced like "Meshica/Meshicatl"(plur./sing.). The old Spanish was strongly influenced by the Gallician (Gallego?)which uses of the sound “X”a lot, wrong?

Anyway, will the guy be hung, toasted or he'll have an injection?
