Move to Mexico, unleaded is only $2.39/gal, and diesel is still $2.19/Gal......
I love to vacation there, but somehow, I just don't want to live there

On the other hand, gas in Britain (and many EU countries) is already over $10.00/gal.

maybe this is a sign for us all to think twice, so if you go to a supermarket to get the cheapest grapes flight in from brazil instead of payin a little more for local fruits, or a typical american or european family household, father, mother, son and daugther driving everyone their own car...
dont care about what the system wants you to do, just open your eyes and reduce burning of gasoline...

Current $9.40/gal or €1,55 /ltr.
But the real profiteer is our own government as 1 ltr of gas cost actually €0.54. The rest are:
19% added value tax
€0,89 fuel tax
ecotax...
2/3 of the gas price are just tax!!
Our greens believe if you make gas as expansive as possible, no one can drive anymore and save the enviroment this way
But our enviroment secritary Simon Gabriel took an German Air Force plan that brought him ALLONE from Spain Island Mallorca to a meeting at Germany Berlin. They flight costs €50000.- (fifty thousand) and caused 44 tons of CO2.
Well done Mr. Gabriel
But if I would get €15000 per month like them - I wouldn´t also care about gas prices

May I suggest you consider a motorcycle?
My BMW R1150RT will stomp a Corvette or Viper in the quarter mile and still gets 48 miles per gallon. Some scooters get better than 100mpg!
It is my misfortune to live in an area where mass transportation is a non-option and now they are eliminating bus routes because of gas prices.

As long as the oil and gas in controlled by private companies and profiteers were are skrewed!!!!

Those are the ones that are driving the price of oil/gas over the roof....The other problem is tne goverment which is doing nothing to help the people...

they only legislate in benefit of the lobbyists, the big corporations, the rich and the powerful....
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !@#$%^*%^&)!!!!!!!

I hate how the government blames the rising cost of fuel on shortages....what shortages??????
Did you guys know that there are hundreds of ships in the ocean full of oil that are just circling different ports because they don't know what to do with it? The shortage that our gov is talking about comes from the stupid trade agreements that Bush and Dick have made. Remember AS LONG AS there is a Dick and a Bush in the White House; there's going to be a whole lot of Fu*king going on!
The fact is, the supply of oil in the world is plentiful. We have thousands of years worth of fuel in the world that still has not been tapped. I only reason for the outrageous prices for fuel is due to the government and their regulations.
Think about it...The Federal Fuel and Trade Commission, which is basically a room full of oil company owners get together and say we're all going to raise and set the price of fuel; the government just sits there and says okay but, if my parents store and the store on the other corner agreed to raise and set the prices of merchandise, we would get thrown in jail for price setting!?!?!?!?
How can two giant oil companies merge in less than 2 weeks when it takes a congressional hearing and over 12 months for Sirrus and XM radio to merge???
Remember, as citizens of this great country not only do we have the right but, we have a duty to question and run our own government. The government works for the people not the other way around.
So, when government tells you something that makes you say HUH, research the topic and educate yourself on the matter so, you can make smart and educated decisions for yourself. Brute force starts battles, knowledge wins wars.

when I got this:
@Bypah
Our former chancellor, Gerhard Schröder, became an "employee" at the russian Gazprom company after they signed a contract about a gas-pipeline when Schröder retired.

2nd left Schröder, right next to him Vladimir Putin, next right President of Gazprom Alexej Miller
It´s every where the same. Money makes the world go around...
