hey, maybe one of you knows what this item is used for:

it is an oliv green bag to fold open to 2 sides, inside are 10 black cotton sheets ( size ~ 2,0 x 0,5 meters ) and also 60 nails ( ~ 20 cm. long ) to fix the sheets onto the ground...

the black sheets are marked "422" in white letters and inside the outer bag are some unreadable small red stamp-prints...

the man who showed this to me claims it to be genuine WWII and it is in very good condition, almost new... it looks and smells like american made... xDD

anyone knows what this is ????

sorry for not havin pics...

The new ones are orange in one side and kind of "pinkish" on the other....

The orange/pink square panels and the long black panels are different systems but I had both of them described in a USAF survival manual from the 40's.
(can't find it anymore! )
