Remember our
MRE´s behind Iron Curtain tour?!
Yesterday we have been a place called "Wasserkuppe", a 950 mtrs "mountain" a hour far from us.
There was a
Radom on it, an US installtion to "listen & see" far into Russia during cold war.
See little
film, what else we did...

I like that second picture - I'll bet you thought you were having a real cool picture being taken. :-)

First you raise them - now they "dancing around on your nose" (how do you say this in real english?)
Mrs. Housil made a snap shoot while daughter AL (
Anna-
Lena) was behind me

Thank you, Housil. I find this sort of stuff extremely interesting.
Looks like Anna-Lena has a healthy sense of humour.

Great pics! In the early Sixties I had my first "Iron Curtain Experience" while camping near Fulda (which is not far from the Wasserkuppe), and my family and I visited the wasserkuppe, which was then a sort of air strip. My father drove me to the Innerdeutsche Grenze to show me how dictatorship looked like. I still remember the wooden guard towers, pill boxes and barbed wire. That sight made a great impression on me, and it was one of my reasons to join the armed forces in 1978. I stayed near Osnabrück from 1978-1980. Unfortunately I not only fell in love with a German girl, but also with the country. The last love still remains
As we would say "Eltern schliesst die Türen, die Holländische Soldaten kommen für die Mädeln..."
Housil I love your pic's, and you should keep a close watch on your cute daughter.
