Concerning the value and properties of wool let me offer something I found useful. And that's wool socks. The wool content of this sock from Wigwam is 63%. The sock pictured is Wigwam 132 Wool Sock. This sock can be used year round. Though in higher temperatures it may make your feet fell a little warm. But the benefits are astounding. These socks will keep your feet bone dry and that's its value. Some may not like the feel of this sock, but with laundering and some use to wear it in its like gold on your feet. Another example of natures supreme properties of wool.

It might be beneficial to have more discussions on useful headgear. Health and government organizations are warning people to be careful between the double threat: Covid-19 and flu season 2020.

One thing is certain. Some people will heed warnings, some not, concerning protections and precautions.

Awesome pic Dave! and let me guess, you bought that weapon at a Walmart in Massachusetts? lol  just kidding! I gotta rail on or laugh at gun laws when I can. actually it looks a bit like what I was issued in Desert Shield----only mine was manufactured in the 1970s and came thoroughly coated inside and out with cosmoline. see us medics did not need a full size M-16 because we were not expected to fight, since nobody would shoot at us once they saw the red cross on our armband

I agree jfko6

Also, I wonder if they considered flammability into the equation.

100% Polyester fabrics can be dangerous when exposed to excessive heat and flame. They do not ignite easily but once aflame, hard to put out and creates a hot flaming melty mess (AKA, super-ouch). I hope they are supplying burn ointment to soldiers (maybe a new MRE addition  ).

Perhaps they are coating the fabric with some kind of permanent retardant.

Wool, on the other hand, is naturally flame resistant
