Super Bowl XLII

Post by kman » Sun Feb 03, 2008 6:32 pm

Alright guys...I just got home and have cracked open my first frosty beverage of the evening. So it's time to start this thread in case anyone else isn't going to be paying 100% attention to the game.

So who are you rooting for tonight?

For me, my 10 years of living in Cleveland during the 90s have made me incapable of rooting for Bill Belicheck. The Pats have done a great job this year with their perfect (so far) record but I just can't pull for them.

I'm also not very interested in the Giants. But I guess if I had to pick a team, I'd have to root for the underdog and hope NY can pull off the upset of the season/decade/century/whole-wide-world-forever-and-ever.

Bring on the commercials!!

Shit, bring on the beer!

You better tank a few down for me MrK ---- I'm stuck here at work until at least 7pm tonight. :x Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

As for the teams, doesn't really matter to me which one wins. If I had to choose one though I'd go with the Pats, but only because I'd like to see them go undefeated through the entire year (and their quarterback's a nice guy too).

I'm with Kman,
Bring on the beer! :D
As for my team they didn't get to the playoffs and I had to then settle for Green Bay. Which BTW didn't make it etiher so what's the point? :? I more or less rooting for the commercials.

i was rooting for the giants. i dont like them but i am a dolphins fan. and a defeat to the pats keeps the dolphins as the only undefeated team in history. 1972. the play that eli manning made where he broke free from like 3 defenders and completed the pass downfield. which was also a great catch. in my opinion that was the greatest play in super bowl history. that was amazing.

It was right about the time of that play that I saw that the Giants wanted to win a whole lot more than the Patriots. Here's a copy of the play:

New England Lost. Hahaha. I'm a Miami Dolphins fan since 1972. Miami holds the record. YEA! :D , Oh, well, the New Jersey Giants beat the Patriots. Hmm, well, it's still a "take-out" and the Miami Dolphin's benefited. Larry Csonka(39) agree's.
