Reasons You're Glad That 2007 Is Over

I'll start this out by saying......
HEALTH.
Earlier in the year I was almost killed in a vehicle accident (drunk driver with a suspended license failed to stop at a traffic light and "T-Boned" me);
And just two weeks ago I spent another five days in the hospital for pneumonia with an irregular, rapid heart beat.
If I see another doctor
this year it'll be too soon!

For me........Finance
Earlier last year I lost my job due to a Gov't Reduction in Force (RIF), went into some legal hassles, had a hospital stay and got into some debt.
Right now it's looking better but if I have to deal with another lawyer or another lose another job it will be too soon.
At least 2008 got off on a good start.

Well guys, my own issues seem to pale in comparison to what some of you have been through in 2007 but I'll chime in anyway.
For me, it was...FITNESS.
My job invovles mostly staring at a computer screen all day long. I get out to see customers a good bit, but it's still a guaranteed 6-8 hours a day sitting on my ass. 2006 was a pretty good year for me for getting out and running but for one reason or another, I let it all slip in 2007. So I'm not sorry to see that year go away.
Here's hoping I can make 2008 a healthier year.

I'm with kman on that, I'm about to head out and try and do a little hiking around Austin.. IT work definitely puts you on your ass a lot; I get to walk short distances often around the small building I work in but not enough. Since I had my apnea surgery I've lost some good weight, and I'm keeping it down by dieting, but if I add walking every night it would go a long way towards losing more weight and being more fit.

For me, was MREs.
'cause I can't find a supply near me (eBay don't work with Romania and from most parts of the world S&H fees are bigger than the cost of MREs).
I hope 2008 will be better in this term.

I don't know what you're talking about ak70g2. I just checked shipping on a 23 lb. box from me (North Carolina) to Romania and it's only US $90. Surely you could find some real expensive MREs and then the cost of shipping would be less than the MREs. :-)

Yeah, Kman. And how many MREs I'll buy in US for 90 bucks?

I'm just glad I don't have to hear about Mike Vic anymore. Oh, Hell, He just got transferred to Fort Leavenworth. What the@#&^%#$. How did he manage that? He never served, as I know of. How can he plop his sorry ass at Leavenworth?? I am depressed. I'm going to have to look into this.
