Due to Corona, there weren´t any events since 2019 so we were too happy, this year we were allowed to have that event again with no restrictions.
Showing up Wednesday as a vanguard, to claim our Camp site
Our motor pool after set up our whole camp with 4 crew tents and 200m² (2.200 sq ft) camo netting
The camp ground from above
Our pack hanging out, chit-chat...
We opened a 1989 Bundeswehr canned bread to give it a try - after 33 years
After opening, a smell of "spirit" came out of the can. This is normal and will vaporizes immediately.
That bread, 500g (18 ounces) and not 170g (6 ounces) as from the EPas, wasn´t sliced.
We cut down some "slices", it looks brighter than that bread we know from the Epas and grains are smaller
But at least, still edible with no loss after 33 years

Re: Military Camp "Hammelburg" 2022
Saturday dinner came from two UGRs T rations
For those, that didn´t trust the trays: we also had a BBQ dinner section
We simmered the (2017s) corned beef hash and a white rice tray on the camping stoves in water for 45min, as supposed.
Everybody was starving...
On the first glance, like a dog food....
Served on the tray, it looked less "bad"
Ops!! Even set on the lowest heat and in water, the bottom of the tray got too hot and started to melt. Lucky us, it didn´t melt the whole tray, just the outside so the food wasn´t spoiled. Phew...
Dessert also came from a tray ration - muffins, and they were great!!

While browsing the vendors, I hauled some more restockings, 4 x T-18s
PS: Due to the current "political situation", we couldn´t go into the Bundeswehr training area as active troops where there for training and shooting, as we heard all night
and also two of those
so guys, see you next year...
