Canadian Sizing

I'm looking to buy some Canadian military gear for my sons for Christmas, but I've run into a problem with sizing, specifically with pants. How does your sizing system work? In U.S., a size 36x34, or 3634, would be a 36" waist X 34" inseam. I assume metric is involved in the Canadian sizing, but I still can't make sense of sizes like 6740 and 7028.....

I know there's a bunch of Canadian members in the forums, can anyone give me a hand?

The Canadian Sizes are kind of easy once you know the trick. The first number is the height of the individual, and the second is either the waist or chest. All in inches oddly enough

So 7228 is for someone who is 72” tall and has a 28” waists. Aka Beanstalk

Haha you might not be the tallest man in the world but you’re biggest ration fan in the world.

So, then, my 6'3" skinny son would be a 7532? Wow. I'm not finding that anywhere.....

Looks like it's going to be more ammo for Christmas....

Smitty, thank you for your response!
