I had two weeks off so we spent the first sunny days with mountain biking

before heading to the Netherlands to see the bridge from Arnhem you (may) know from the movie "A Bridge Too Far"

too bad that corona shut down kicked in while being there, but I never travel unprepared ;-)

Luck us, one museum was still open https://www.arnhemsoorlogsmuseum.com/ and we could see their amazing collection like

Another place I want to see was "Hotel Hartenstein" https://www.airbornemuseum.nl/de/home?g ... UREALw_wcB, where the British troops had their HQ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airborne_ ... enstein%27.

Some of you may have already heard, if not, or, are not familiar with actor, Ben Cross, who was a prolific English actor, passed away suddenly. He completed his final film before his illness took him. He made his film debut in A Bridge too Far and went on to star in many films, TV movies, and shows.

I love these bike adventures! Can’t wait until the leg heals up and can load up and go for a cruise. Definitely some great motivation for adventure. Danke!
All the best, Gents.

Sep 4th we start for another 3 days 125km bike-hike ("donkey trail"). Going by train 2.5hrs north before driving all the way back criss-cross the "Spessart" woods.
