I can tell you I'd rather get another AR-15 instead of one of those. Get the M6 Scout if you want a "survival" rifle, or a Kahn folding shotgun and an AR-22, way cheaper. I've looked into getting something like that, and it just doesn't make sense, wtf am I going to do with a rifle in my backpack that can kill a deer? If I'm planning on going survival mode, I have many more options at hand than a rifle that you have to worry about losing parts when you take it apart and put it in your backpack. It looks cool, but the price just isn't right. Get one of those Super Comanche's (http://www.firestorm-sgs.com/supercomanche.htm)

BigMark, here I can't use legally the .22 caliber, because it's rated too small for our game. My dream gun is Remington 700 Varmint in .308Win, who will take any European game (from rabbits to Carpathian bear), but I can't find near me, and it's a big pain-in-the-you-know-what to ask someone to buy for me abroad. It's a very complicated procedure to buy a hunting rifle... There's a damn former communist country, and the Big Brother still have the "no guns" menthality.... And I ask just from curiosity, I heard many good words about Kel-Tec.

For what it's worth, I like a lot of their other products, but especially if just for hunting, you'd do better to spend less and get more. .223 is a .22 caliber in some areas, make sure you consider that before you purchase a rifle, a lot of states here won't let you hunt with .223. On the other hand, that rifle looks neat and the bad parts aren't all that bad, but I'd hate to be the guy that loses the pin or you see a deer and you scare it off trying to put the gun together.

Amen to the M6 Survival Rifle! I own one in the .22LR / .410ga shotgun configuration and really like it for it's compactness. A neat little firearm!

The AR-7 is about the only survival rifle left, But I think Smith and Wesson just came out with a pistol that shoots .45 colt AND .410 shotshells...

You can find them on gunbroker.com usually, they cost maybe a little more, but not bad.
