You be the Judge! Let anyone without sin caste the first stone. Who cares? It's a good smoke screen, anyhow. I hope Mike gets 3 weeks in Club Fed, or Sussex #2. There are over 50 free-lance pitbulls up for adoption, but they won't last long. I'm thinking about inspecting them myself. Hmmm???? 8)

here ya go.

i think that what mike vick did was bad. but he is human and we are prone to making stupid decisions in life. he will serve his time in prison, at which time his debt to society will be paid in full. i think if a team is willing to take him back he should get to play. also if no team is willing to take a chance on him that is fair also. we live in a freemarket society. it alone should determine his fate as a football player in the future. as for old pete he made his decisions and he has paid the price for it. had he come out in the beginning and admitted fully what he had done it would not be as bad time would have healed by now. but instead he let out little bits of info over several years. only fully admitting his guilt a few years ago. i would not be surprised if he did get into the hall several years from now. do i think he should. YES. he was a hall of famer based on his stats alone. that can never be taken from him. who do i feel was the worst of the two. PETE ROSE for one reason only what he did was detrimental to fellow players that looked up to him and worked for him. what vick did was horrible. but that is my opinion.

Only 3 weeks `DD? That seems too light a sentence for someone not just cruel to another living thing, but sponsoring & promoting cruelty as well. 6 months in the slammer + 5 years probation would satisfy me.

As far as the NFL goes..... Anyone who has "paid his/her debt to society" should be allowed to make a living in what ever endevor they choose. If a team wants to hire him for his services, OK by me.

6 mos sounds fair

i agree six months with some serious probation sound fair. maybe some humiliating community service. i was a huge vick fan. being about an hour from blacksburg and a huge tech fan. but i will never pull for him again he lost my support.

I believe the plea bargain with the US Attorney was for 12-18 months in jail time, however the judge surprised everyone by announcing his right not to be bound by the plea agreement.

I'd also have to agree that there is no comparison between the Pete Rose case and Vick's case. Dogfighting is a sport that is even condemmed by those who do not necessarily hold animal rights to be an issue of concern. Pete Rose's offense brought shame to him, the sport, and the league, but was not necessarily one of moral outrage, like Vick's case.

The Simpson case in Vegas looks a little strange. One of his alleged co-conspirators has been granted immunity in exchange for testimony, the other has been released OR. Simpson is the only one that had to post bail. One of the alleged victims has been arrested for an outstanding warrant. Very strange situation indeed.

Heres a pic. I had to go deep in the woods, and flank a house, several houses down, to get this pic. It was rough, but I had my trusty compass, and a spaghetti MRE

An abandoned pitbull pen. Nearby the Vick compound. Of course, this property does'nt have the same funding, as the Vick property.
