This is my pick. The damn AK. This is put in Romanian dictionary at definition of "reliability". Gents, the latest from the Cugir Factory:

It looks like an Izhmash AK-107 5.45 or like the AEK-971 5045 x 39 by Degtyarev...
My father is a Vietnam vet and he was trained with both M14 and M1A , old school style.
He considers the M-16 a piece of crap.....

I know they are not accurate but I go for the Ak's anytime.
When it comes to pistols....I like a good .45 ACP from a ol' reliable M1911 or a .50 Desert Eagle

It's simple, match your weapon with you needs.

1. Where I'll shoot my rifle?
In a God- forgotted s..t-hole (Africa, Asia, Balkans).

2. Weapons of the adversary?
Doesn't matter too much.

3. My rifle?
Anything I'll take will match weapons of my adversary, because I'll re-supply my ammo from them or will be discarded for an adversary's weapon, to use his ammo.

Beside this, I'm very fond of Remington 700P in .308, I'd like an Springfield M1A "Loaded" and I hope to buy myself as birthday gift next year an Mossberg 500 JIC (Just in case) II or an Maverick 88 shotgun.
