None of my relatives and friends have any problems with their finances, houses or jobs. Like bishopman I neither don't know a person who has these problems.
My wife and I both have jobs that pay an average wage. We have no kids, so we can afford a lot. We have no financial problems, I can buy watever food and groceries I need. We have two cars and a nice house. It is hard for us to imagine this could all change. In fact nothing has changed since the Credit Crisis.

But things have changed! When my wife and I bought our first house in 1994 I had to buy a life insurance. I pay every month an amount of money, and it was calculated it would pay me back 77.000 euro's after 30 years. In March this year I got a letter. It was now calculated it will pay only 44.000 euro's at the end at the best! So I lost already a minimum of 33.000 euro's. This was BEFORE the official Credit Crisis of September 2008. Next year I will receive a new letter with the latest calculations, and I know for sure I will lose again a lot money. This doesný affect me right now, however I have to work 1 or 2 years longer before retirement to compensate for the loss.
Car sales in Holland has dropped about 30-50 %.
The steel works ('Corus' furnace) nearby has cut production 20-30%.
House prices dropped 5-18% (I sold my old house vife month ago with a 5% loss on the price it had in 2007).
Wait a few more month and you'll see a different world. Not a better one, that is.

They didn't talked in the news of the preachers giving sermons full of racism or bigotry here in Oklahoma. Or how the hispanics and other minorities were "persuaded" not to vote by harassing and lying to them about procedures or telling them to vote the next day( Nov.5) if they were democrats.

As I said earlier those panthers were not part of Obama's campaign or the folks I mentioned harassed the hispanics and other minorities were part of the McCain campaign.....

Incredible.....
Peace!

Bad guys can be Democrats or Republicans, or Arabs, Germans, Japanese, Eskimo's or Hutsi. (No not Dutch because we are just a very small country with ony 17 million inhabitants).)

:D Yes, we are a small country but a great one too. We single-handedly shut down all road-transport in our neighbouring countries during summer vacation. Dont screw with the dutch or we go on vacation to YOUR country and do the same. 8)

I did NOT wrote "ESKIMO's" !
It wasn't me. It was someone else. A villan who broke into my computer and misused it.
If it was me, I would have written Kimono's, not Eskimo's. I know for sure how touchy Ice People can be. They are very fast 'heated up'.

And if it was me, I do apologise. I will recommend your country to all Dutch so they can go there on vacation (Do we need to exchange our Euro's for Eskimoney?)

Housil, I suggest you Germans must build better and broader Autobahnen for us Dutchies!
We don't LIKE to halt in Germany, but you force us to do, so we have to spent the nights in ugly German hotels or terrible Kamping Plätze, eat filthy Schnitzel and drink dirty Bier, meanwhile looking at your boring landscapes. I won't mentioned the women.
In two weeks I will visit the Eifel and Sauerland for a long weekend, torturing myself with all of the above.
Oh... how wish I was already there... :P
