I preffer to "strip down" the load on my back. Taking only the essentials. An magnetic compass will not eat batteries and will weight much less. Knowledge weight nothing

The Harz are no mountains, but more like hills ;) more like the eifel, ardennes etc.. Mountains are those big heaps of rock called the Alps.

But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

The journey - affordable
The hiking supplies - affordable

Food & drinking - Costs more then my yearly income

And, I got told once.. that there are norwegian people in norway

No I'd love to go to Norway, but it's quite expensive.. I love the wildlife and such there, but as a student I simply can't afford it. The country itself (like Sweden) is very expensive to our standards, and there are not many suitable places to stay for the night in the "good" areas.. And I already planned a 2½ week "vacation" to Romania.. which destroys my budget..... ;)

So even how promising a country full of wildlife, snow and overpopulated with blonde women seems.. It stays a plan for the future..

I like shooting, something more common in Norway then here..
But I don't eat fish, because I only like fried fish.. might sound stupid..

I prefer beef, wildgame (especially boar) and sheep.. ;)
never ate moose, reindeer or whale though..

Haha, but I might visit you one day.. if I get my budget straight.. (or piled up? haha)
