Remember the Patriot Act?? I think they extended it and now what they need is an excuse to keep "herr Busch" in power....hmmmmmm How about a quickie war with Iran????  so that they can postpone elections until the "national emergency " is over......

...and I heard some circles want his brother to run for president   !!!!!!!!

that scenario could happen, is just a possibility....they did it already  ,I know that some people might disagree and even get angry and call me names..... but....I love the freedom of speech......plus reality bites!!!!

If there's any "funny" side to this spike in gas prices, it's this:

For years, the treehuggers in the US have been shouting, "Look at the price of gas in Europe! They're paying so much more than us. We should be paying that much and maybe people would converse more."

What they don't realize is that when gasoline doubles in price over here, it doubles in price over there, too. And not only that, but along with gas, the price of everything else that needs gas to be transported goes up.

And with the high price of gas now, people are starting to talk about all these "alternative" fuels. What they don't realize is that "alternative" equals "more expensive". Sure, they're an alternative if we run out of oil. But if our problem is the price of fuel, alternative fuels only make the problem worse, not better.

That's the thing Bypah, some people definitely did vote for those idiots but, I seriously believe that Bush stole the White House with the elections. Till this day no body has a definite count on the votes .
But more shocking than that, we the people, sit here and accept this crap. And if someone disagrees with the president, we get called liberal, idiots who are trying to bring down the country by the religious right.

I'm still in awe over the blind, sheep like mentality that these hard core Bush people have. The scariest thing is when citizens of a country follow anything their leader says blindly and without question.

I'm the first one to tell you to not go with the majority and to make your OWN decisions but, think about it...the rest of the entire world is looking at our once Great Country and laughing at us. They ridicule our government and our policies...are we right and the rest of the world is wrong?

I'm not a liberal or a conservative, I state my opinions because I'm a proud citizen of this country. I have made the decision to become a citizen of this country and to turn my back on my home country because I believe that this is the greatest nation in the world. I have taken a oath to uphold our rights and constitution and if the need arises I will defend the U.S., its citizens and our freedom with my life. So, please don't tell me that I'm not a American, that I don't have the right to talk about America and my views don't matter. As far as I'm concerned, I'm more American than some of the people that are born in this country.

Those tickets are so hard to get in Philly, so no I haven't seen it yet but, i definitely hear rave reviews about it!!!!

Did you get to see it Kman? If you did what did you think about it? I heard that Heath did a great job as the joker but, some people said that the movie was based on the Joker...is that true?

Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh....for you Batman fans. the history channel is going to have a special on BATMAN TECH at 9pm I think tomorrow but, definitely sometime this week. That's one thing about Batman..he has all the coolest toys...

Hey Kman, if Batman had to eat rations on his trips to fight evil, what rations you think he would eat...Bat Treats? LOL

I just saw it last night. Extremely good movie. I can't say enough about Heath Ledger's performance. You just have to see it yourself - it's hard to believe there was an actor in there, he was so convincing.

I wouldn't say the movie was based on the Joker. It was based on Batman but without the Joker and his shennanigans, there wouldn't be much for Batman to do.

Here's a better review of the movie:

Harry's first line of his review sums it up nicely:
HOLY F*CK – what a great movie.

lol...kman
Can we all get along???.....

Actually aside of the people in the white house and Congress, the speculators, big oil corporatocracy, etc. ....there is a combination of things that spiked up this crisis:
1. The weakening of the dollar: The oil industry WORLDWIDE used to run in USD $$$, the famous "petrodollars"....now new currencies are coming up strong, specially the EURO and are slowly dethroning the dollar as the main currency of oil trade. Did you know that this started back in the early 90's? This was the reason for the first Gulf War,when Saddam invaded Kuwait and began to sell/trade oil in other currencies that wasn't the dollar... well you know the outcome of that one,we are still paying for the sins /mistakes of the father...hmmmmm

2. The "developing" countries of India and China are slowly becoming superpowers....Simply,their economies are growing FAST and they need a LOT of natural resources to consume and it puts them in a collision course with the US, the champion of consumerism....so most of the Earth resources are finite causing friction between countries.....

3. Love of money$$$$$$$$ : Finally ,bigger corporations don't give a "boloney" about people, only they care how much money they put in their pockets no matter what..."THE ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS!!" exploit, lie cheat and control.....the US goverment, courts and laws for their benefit. Who suffers??? YOU,ME AND ALL THE TAX PAYERS..... "The goverment of the people for the people and by the people...if you have Moolah!!!!!

Sadly our founding fathers might be ashamed of what this nation has become and what they held so dearly is going down.....
PEACE!!!

Don't worry, one thing is for sure: Oil will be gone in about 30-100 years. It is one of the most valuable minerals we humans have ever encountered. Oil is used to manufacture clothing, clean water, machines, medicine and so on. Instead of being very carefull with this precious stuff, we humans managed to burn in about 100 years what have been build by nature in 200 million years. Oil is not renewable. It doesn't grow at the rate we burn it. Cheaper oil is only going to burn it even more faster.

Life is going to change in the coming 100 years. In a dramatical way. If you like it or not. The final proces already has begun and it can not be reversed. We can deny this, but deep inside we know there is nothing that can substitute oil. 200 dollar for a gallon is expensive? In a few decades we will laugh about this rediculous low price!
Accept it and try to adapt.
