These guys are pretty neat. A picture sure can speak a thousand words.
Nothing like an old detailed photo and how you can really get in there with some fantastic closeups after a scan.

Marines With Their Meals?
Steve, is there any information as to the branch or unit, location and date? I'm thinking maybe these are Marines, possibly due to uniform type and style of wear, but I'm not really sure. I can say it is important not to call Marines "Soldiers", while this might be technically true, they seem to have a different . . . opinion.
The back of one photo has some info, hard to read but looks like 1932?

Re: *Marines Posing With Their Meals
Hey Tedster, thanks for the input and helping me out! You're right, those guys are almost certainly Marines based off the one guy in the solid white uniform with that different more formal white, possibly officer's hat. I wasn't too sure who they might've been - now it's to figuring out possibly when it was? If I had to guess, maybe 1941? But it could be older.
I got the photos for only $12 total. They were vaguely titled and described.
Very good to know about not calling Marines soldiers. I do know never to say former Marine, as they are always Marines. Made the mistake once and never forgot about it!
I'll keep sharing various photos over here. I got another neat one out of the collection coming out next which is German POWs in WW2 eating US C Rations and it's very detailed. Love the old detailed photos and seeing their faces. Sometimes these faces say a whole story in their own.

Yeah, they look pretty happy with their food. Must not have been too unwelcome.
The way I heard it, "Former" Marine is just fine, just don't say "Ex-Marine".
