The heavy rain of the last days changed the ground in a hugh mud paddy. So we left early...

Everything you see is in (German) privat property :D

Dang that looks fun!

Ahhhhh --- And I see  the dashing "Mrs housil" braved the weather as well (although she dosn't look too happy about it). Is this a club you belong to housil, or do you just attend these shows because you're interested in the vehicles and gear?

She was pi***** off that she can´t ride the M48...
No - I´m just kidding. (She was flattered  about your "dashing")
Jubifahrer and me don´t belong to a club, we visit such shows because we like everything about. Vehikles, gear, the flair and the rations... Usually we bring some MRE´s with us, some cake, a canteen cup and a tommy cooker and have some coffee. Sitting in our Bundeswehr collapsible field chairs, chit-chat, enjoy the view...
There is almost every weekend a show like this somewhere here. Sometimes on a real military trainig area.

Hi guys,

so as housil wrote, I was the third member of the forum , who visits the „military meeting“ (next week I will post some more pics). The weather was really f**cking, but in spite of that it was very good! Like in good old times, even with mobile field kitchen. Someone sold some dark brown MREs, now they are in my collection :D ! Additional I bought some “Flatware Sets”, with spoons like in MCIs!

By the way, here is a photo from real “REFORGER” (3. Armoured Division "Spearhead", a little town somewhere in Hessen, Germany):

Oh yes, i remember this reforger, i was 13 years old, very interestend in military, as all the other guys in same age.

we weard olive clothes and tried to find the soldiers in the near forest.

then we traded wine and sausages from my fathers basement to c-rats, peanut butter, chewing gums and i remember one GI let us shoot with blank fire in his M16 for a bottle hard liquor.

no i am a father an tell my son the story about earlier time and he is also looking for every olive car and loving mre ;)
