Cross country....

Post by housil » Tue Mar 20, 2018 7:56 am

It´s still/again winter over here (-10°C/14F). On my way home, I wanted to use a shortcut on a farmers road what my GPS said suppose to be a regular street.

Too bad I slid into the trench between that "street" and that field.

I got stuck into that mud. My wheels were just spinning...

...and even that Pajero 4WD couldn´t tow me out.

That guy called a nearby farmer with his 4WD tractor to "rescue" me :D

Make sure you send the final bill for everything to the GPS manufacturer. Even in the middle of August, I'm not too sure about that route. Doesn't look like a fun way to come back from any trip.

Recommend Gerber vehicle safety kit. Definitely could have dug yourself out. Hatchet makes quick work.

I have that folding shovel in my trunk and used it to dug me out. The problem was that too much mud, causing no grip and made the wheels spinning...

I would also like comment on how impressed I am that you managed to drive on that path in that condition with a WHITE vehicle and still manage to have it looking like it is fresh out of a car wash. Does it have some new space age mud repellent coating or something?
