Make sure to store them in a cool, dry place. Constant temperature changes and/or higher temperatures may cause the food to spoil much sooner than later.

Greetings...I have canned hamburgers plain on bun and packed into wide mouth quart jars. Processed in pressure canner for 90 minutes @ 15psi. I have eaten them 1 month later and just like fresh :) However, eating ANYTHING subject to spoilage(burgers etc.) that has not been pressure canned or autoclave, is a BAD idea! Sucking out the ambient air to produce a vacuum will not sterilize food. As an experienced food canner, I advise anyone interested in trying to can their own burgers to do adequate research first, your life depends on it!
