Ran across the story over at Foxtrot Alpha.

Given the A-10's reputation for ruggedness (cliche, I know). It would seem like a natural choice.

Taking away the BRRRRT factor is like neutering the poor guy. Science be damned for putting the Warthog on any task other than ending the existence of things.
