Tank Ace Wittman's story is very interesting.
He alone may have helped the feared Tiger Tank's memory to stay with the Western Allies long after the 1940's were over.

Last station of my trip was the "Grand Bunker" at Ouistreham
That German bunker was in charge of the batteries covering the entrance of the river Orne and the canal. The 52ft high concrete tower has been fully restaured to make it look how it was on the 6th of june 1944.
The German garrison could withstand the attacks for three days before the British could at least blow the armored doors open.

Norton, that bunker is a 5 story high, fully restored bunker.
