Condor Multicam Tactical Operator's Hat Review

Post by fdsman » Wed May 19, 2010 1:40 am

I recently purchased a Condor Multicam Operator's Hat from eBay, and am quite pleased with it. It is made with genuine Crye Multicam which is an excellent fabric, blends in well with virtually any environment and appears to hold up well to wear and tear. On the fault of Condor, My had has 5 or 6 loose threads, but other than that the stitching has held and looks professional. On cheaper versions of this hat however, the stitching has been known to come off and the pile velcro patch area has been known to rip off after only 3 or 4 patch removals. The hat features pile Velcro on any Velcro area on the hat, allowing for hook Velcro patches to be attached and removed with ease. The hat features 3 Velcro areas. One front flag or rank Velcro area, one top IR glow square area, and one back name tag area. the size adjustment strap and fastener are extremely high quality. Using what appears to be a brass buckle to hold the size adjustment straps together, could easily be used as a self defense weapon in a tight situation. The hat also features a pocket where you can tuck in the extra slack. Overall I believe this is a very good hat for tactical applications, or for everyday wear. With the quality of material, this will definitely stand up better than any civilian intended hat and is now part of my EDC.
