DC Sniper Execution

This man is about to die. Tomarrow night, 10 November, 2009. At 2100 hrs. Eastern, John Allen Muhammad, also known as the DC Sniper, will be put to death, by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Its a shame there is only one state that has a firing squad... Even better would have been the electric chair...

Ehm.. the firing squad is one of the most humane ways to execute someone.. the biggest problem is that the shooters are likely to get a trauma from it..

But.. I still don't understand why a execution should be painless and humane..
Quite ironic actually.. someone kills someone.. most of the times in an extreme way or multiple victims.. (else you wouldn't get the deathpenalty..)

They have the death penalty to remove someone from the system.. for ever.. and to "equal debts".. But.. ehh..?
What's the use of stuff like a life sentence? Humanrights are against death.. so they choose for life long inprisonment..

So people can get depressed and rot away in a cell of about 3x3 meters.. without any hope..
Costing thousands of tax euros (dollars in your case)

They should simply remove those people from the system..
