You'll probably only want military items right?

If not, consider a gasburner. It's much easier, and saves you the pumping etc..
And it cooks a lot cleaner (your pans don't get black residu on them)

If you want a liquid burner, consider a Dutch Army cooker (old)
They were made by the German "Heinze GmbH & Co" model unknown.. but you see them alot at airsoft etc.. they seem to work nice for baking eggs, warming meals etc. And they don't really smell that bad.. (and it has it's own cover) or an british MK2 cooker..

They are also a lot cheaper then the M1950

€35
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

Not "probably" - for sure ;-)
I prefer Bundeswehr item´s, but may consider some other (western!) military items if they are better (lighter, chepaer, nicer :D )

Actually I want to have a mobile kitchen trailer, but Mrs. Housil had a different opinion about the capacity of our garage...

We had cookers too, called Enders:

I think the MK2 cooker is a nice alternative, it has it's own windshield aswell (can come in handy..)

And it was used from early inthe 1940s till 1980s (that's got to say something right?)
And they were produced aswell at those dates.. so the newer ones are "to rookie to collect" but very nice as usable items..
And they fold up pretty nice..

And about the fieldkitchen.. try convincing her..

(lots of nice goodies for your hobby btw.. and I'm sure they know something about the Iltis aswell)

quite expensive though..
