Combat boots

Post by ak70g2 » Tue Jul 07, 2009 2:07 pm

Beside the MREs, I'm a huge fan and collector of military gear. I really love to wear military boots, 'cause they're durable and confortable. So, my british Magnum Amazon 3 boots are wearing out, so, I'm looking for an replacement.

I need information (personal experience, pros/cons, some online stores who sell to Eastern Europe) about:

- USMC Combat Boots (first choice, as a former Marine).

- British new (Meindl/Lowa) combat boots.

- Swedish Combat boots, for the winter/mountaineering.

Also, any other information about another countries combat/issue boots will be deeply appreciated.

My favorites. USGI all leather standard combat, from the mid 1980's thru '90's. Once you work a pair in, foot heaven! Keep them greased up with mink oil, they'll last forever(left foot). For nippy weather, the Rocky brand, Mountain Stalker with 600 gram thinsulite(right foot). Heres a pic. 8)
