Exchange rates

Post by Garron » Fri Dec 19, 2008 2:04 pm

Today I changed £122.50 into Euros, I had €125... practially 1 to 1 now, might drop even further :(

I found an old reciept from where I changed my money to go to Germany* in '05.... exchange rate £1 = €1.56
and another from Vienna* in February '08 it was £1=€1.39

*I Kept all the travel documents, ticket stubs, print outs. Just incase, found them in an old file in a cupboard today.

Might be easier if the UK just adopted the Euro now its worth pretty much the same. All the coin denominations of coins and notes are the same (cents 1,2,5,10,20,50 Euros 1,2.. Notes 5,10,20,50)

I saw a news item recently that said the UK was considering going over to the Euro. I'd be pretty shocked if/when that happens but it could just be a matter of time.

Now if only we can get the US Dollar down around a 1-1 exchange rate for the Euro, I'd be happy. :-)
