The fireworks themselves were around $350. I made the mortar racks last year so I had already eaten that cost. For anyone else who might be interested, this site is great for do-it-yourself firework shows:

I WISH I LIVED in N.C.

If we had any of that in Philly we would get SO arrested....It's so stupid, I can go into any neighborhood gun shop and take home in the same day a ak-47, SKS, HK MP5, combat Bennelli, SWAT team spec Ithica, m-82 Barret shorty(That's a FREAKING SNIPER RIFLE>>>IT SHOOTS 50 CALIBER BULLETS!!!! I mean our soldiers use these things to kill crew members in a armored vehicle or even take enemies out that are hiding behind walls...what the hell do you need that for in PHILLY?!?!?!?) Colt AR-15, Bushmaster M-14, Desert Eagle .50 cal handguns and pretty much anything else that you could want....So why can't I get a freaking bottle rocket??? :?

Not to get too nit-picky, but fireworks aren't exactly legal in NC, too. But they are in South Carolina and fortunately, I'm only 30 minutes away from the border. :-)

They aren't too picky about fireworks on the 4th of July. The police around here tend to make more quality arrests with all the DUI checkpoints they set up during the holidays.

OHHHHH... I thought they were legal as well in North Carolina( would be what I say to the State trooper as I'm being lead to the back of his car LOL)

And the cops in Philly won't bother you really if you shoot off a couple bottle rockets but they definitely will stop you if they see you setting fireworks off.
