Dutch Air Force Survival Knives

Post by aquarius » Tue Dec 25, 2007 10:16 am

Wow, it took me 10 years to get these two Victorinox babies! I finally succeeded. It has nothing to do with rations (except maybe for opening the puches), but I wanted to share this treasure find with you all.

First is the current Victorinox Pilot Survival Knife. It is the Ranger model with phillips screwdriver instead of the cork screw. The white engraving "KLU EIGENDOM" means Koninklijke LUchtmacht (=Royal Airforce) property.

Second is the 1960 Victorinox Survival Knife especially made for the Dutch Air Force Pilot Survival Kits. It is an older model with blue eloxated handles.

Great X-mas gift (to myself).
