Some of us can verify you can also put them over a car heating vent while driving and have a hot lunch when you stop...

I've been using an electric kettle, heats super quick and u can make your coffee or tea first then heat the MRE.

Same here! Haha, the IMP ink and retorts are food grade so I don't worry too much

Nice tip. I recently used a FRH in my office...and well...I didn't think it through....HA! I will take the advice and find a heater next time.

I've got a bunch of disposable hand warmer packets. I started using them up as they tend to go bad after a while, like an FRH. Just takes a long while to do it's thing depending on size. I would use the coffee pot if I had one in my office.

I just leave mine outside on the asphalt. By lunchtime, its nice and hot!
