I've only had a few rations so far (actually 3 more recorded that I need to edit and fix).
But so far I have to say the best beverages I've had until now (and I've only had a few US and one German ration) have been the two US dairy beverages:
Cocoa and hazelnut - Super tasty
Strawberry - I need more!!!

The isotonic ones haven't really impressed me yet.

What's your "I hope this ration has one" beverage across all nations' rations?

I really like the fruit beverages that come in the Russian IRPs. Light and refreshing. I also really like the grapefruit beverage in the German EPAs. Those two would have to be my favorites.

Coming in second would be the Dr. Oetker beverages in the IMPs.

Nothing but grape. Oh - and cherry. Did I mention orange?

Raspberry drink mix in the British ORP 24hr ration would be my absolute #1 so far. Tastes like you just picked a handful of fresh berries.
Close 2nd would be Ration Cold Weather Lemon Tea mix.

I guess it's worth thinking of the conditions you're drinking them under.
I'm sitting at home, hungry. The dairy beverages are like milkshakes you get with a burger. Very nice, and I can always get plain tap water (which I usually drink) if I need to.
However I can imagine if you're parched and exhausted they don't appeal as much as a more refreshing grapefruit flavor, which three of you seems to like so far.
I did taste the grapefruit drink from an EPa but I didn't think it was anything special. I guess I was looking for that sour grapefruit flavor, instead of just taking the beverage for what it is.
Or it could be it was from 2009.
Looking forward to tasting more rations and beverages.

IRP for me. They are just tasty

The only one I've tired so far is the lemon out of a Lithuanian. After the first drink I was scared that I should be polishing rifle stocks with it.

I really like ALL of the UK hot chocolate drink mixes!

Current top 3 are Polish instant tea drink, RCIR mint tea (which I've only got once) and MRE mocha cappuccino (if I can add a drop of whiskey)
