I liked the video very much.

Kind nice to have in addition to my MSR dragonfly stove but I would have liked to see how this stood up at a higher elevation. I also would have liked to see how this compared to some other stoves say a JETBOIL or a PRIMUS.

Greetings ration enthusiasts! Fishing season is coming up so I bought a new cheap stove to pack on my day trips. I bought this cheap firebox imitation on eBay for $8 shipped. It is cheap stamped steel but will burn alcohol, fuel tabs, or sticks and twigs with equal ease and is very light and compact. I have a setup that will allow me to have 2 burners in a kit that fits perfectly into an old-style army issue first aid kit pouch. It contains the firebox stove, esbit stove, 24 fuel tabs and a lighter and matches. It fits easily in my day pack or can be worn on the belt or web gear.

Seller doesn't have same stove, is a little different and $1.50 more. Is eBay item #152384936810. Sorry, didn't know how to do a direct link. But there are lots of other sellers with similar items and similar prices. The stove works really well, but will probably only last 1 season of use

I think all the apple products (iPhone, iPad) rely on EXIF metadata in the image and include the rotation info. They then expect the viewer (that is us, on our browsers) to detect that rotation data and rotate the image before displaying it.
These rarely seem to work in webbrowsers as far as I've seen.
I suspect that other devices (digital cameras, android devices) actually rotate the image data itself when they detect the device is rotated while taking the photo and set rotation metadata to 0 (or simply exclude it), thus there is no need to rely on the viewing software to do the rotating.

Edit: Well.. either that, or they're sloppy with the EXIF metadata and don't include some orientation/rotation info that's required. Either way, it doesn't seem to work.

In short, if you want your photo to not be upside down when taking a photo with an apple product: Turn the device "the correct way" (whichever way, I have no idea, you need to experiment) when taking the photo.

At least, it's the conclusion I came to some time ago while investigating it.
I could be totally wrong, but the issue seems to affect only photos from Apple devices.
If you download all the photos rotated in wrong angles and look at their metadata I bet you'll see they're always taken using an iPad or iPhone.

Aloha lads - Great informative thread... your combined knowledge always delivers... been looking at stoves similar to the one in sparkingdogg picture... already have 2 Esbits however, with hurricane season right around the corner, this style of stove certainly provides piece of mind (hopefully with newly purchased gas generator no need to use it).
