Welcome to the forums.

Are you sure you need the salt? They still pack those packets in some MREs, iirc.

Salt was more for the hiking and camping aspect of it. However the MREs come with Iodized salt. Not the most flavorful salt out there, or should I say best tasting salt. I put kosher in the vials because that's what I cook my family's dinner with every night  . Not sure if I would include salt in a retail version yet. I'm still in the both the design and planning phase.

Thanks for the comments so far guys! They have both been supportive and helpful. :D

That is a great idea and nice set up, I do canoe camping trips and cook MREs on the bank. I always try to add something for the flavors of the main entrees. That bag would pack up very nice in a dry sack

I found the set of the salt of various flavors in PX of the SDF base.

It made me remember "MRE Flavor Box" of EricTheMarine.

It's the size similar to the Tabasco of MRE.

Flavor:
-Salad salt
-Wasabi salt
-Black halite
-White rice salt
-Barbecue salt
-Curry salt

I thought that they would be the best for ration. :D

Thanks for the picture! This definitely does seem right up the same alley as EricTheMarine's idea.

Welcome to the forum and that is a very good set set up. I like the compact aspect for camping. The pouch looks like it is very versatile

My daughter sent me a set of salt shakers, Chipotle (which is smoked Jalapeno's), Jalapenos, Sriracha, Habanero, and Ghost peppers, from Penzy's spice Company.
