The multitudes of uses for MRE pouches
Here are a few things I can do with an empty MRE pouch.
A.) You can use it to hold hot water to shve with, or wash your face
B.) In a emergency, you can take a dump in it.
c.) I often use them to keep ammo dry, cigarettes or tolet paper
D.) You can fill it sand or a paint can and set it out as a long range target
E.) Fill it with socks or loose brush, seal it up and use it for and imprompto pillow
Anyone got any cool uses they wanna share?

When we make earthworks on building sites I have used empty MRE pouches to hold soil samples

Also for Mardi Gras or halloween costumes.....
Some of the pics where from the Mardi Gras celebrated after Katrina.
But not only MRE bags are used also the HDR's.....
NECESITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTIONS
Also I'm trying to find a picture I saw of the HDR/MRE bags used to cover the wall of a house-shelter in Haiti.

No. I saw that one .the on I'm talking about they use the bags not the boxes.they split the bags open and they literally sew them together and used them to cover ither a wall or they used it as a wall for their shelter.

I like to cut them down to about half their size and mix the main entree plus side dish together when appropriate. Like Chilli and corn bread, Asian beef strips and fried rice, bbq beef and black beans etc. Any of the meals where the components taste good mixed I use the cut down bag in this way and it works really well as an impromptu large bowl.

I have used MRE bags to hold water before and they will hold a lot of water.
