Any chance you could scan and post the whole recipe book?

The "Charlie Ration Cookbook" an the second version of the "MRE Recipe Booklet" version you can find here:
http://david.brubakers.us/cookbook/rationcookbooks.html
The book I presented here is the first version from 1985 of the "MRE Recipe Booklet", if it is not forbidden I can photograph or scan it. The only problem here are the ingredients, most of them have to be over 25 years old , here they use MRE menus 1-12 from 1981-1985!

Thank you for the link mreheater!
Here's what the site 'vietnamgear' mentiones about the booklet:
quote: "The Charlie Ration Cookbook was produced by McIlhenny Company and could be ordered from advertisements in various magazines. It contained numerous recipes for meals that soldiers could make using C-Ration ingredients and McIlhenny's Tabasco Pepper Sauce. Each book was wrapped around a bottle of Tabasco and shipped in a green waterproof canister."

How about this booklet 'canteen cup cookery'?
(july 1985)

Re: PEANUT BUTTER CANNON BALLS
That´s a great book, I like it ! But here it is the same problem: The ingredients here were used are out of MRE menus from 1981-1985! Very interesting, but not good for testing the recipes !Nawt wrote:

I'll try it out for sure, but I'll need some mre's, and they're floating around in the mighty postal service...
