How to make your own accessory pouch

I recently posted some ideas for assembling your own accessory pouch and sealing the bag. viewtopic.php?t=1733

This is a follow-up to the Beverage Bag Thread and user Treesuit's comments.

Introducing the Euroselaer (Video Review)
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... DjCQ&hl=en

I found the Euroselaer a useful tool. After testing it on small items I found it did its job as advertised unlike many made-for-tv products. The Euroselaer did seal my pouches with minimal effort. As many reviews will attest it does require some practice. A small razor blade is included on the handle.

With the Eurosealer I was able to re-close many of my cellophane based bags around the house. It provides an even seal (steady hand required). I even closed off an unused bag of HDR raisins. For the price I recommend this gadget tool. Two AA batteries are required. Instructions are included but for some unknown reason are hidden inside the battery compartment you have to unscrew to get to.

I've used one pretty extensively, they're not bad, but unless you plan on putting it up for a while, a couple of binder clips work just as well.

What I like is the ability to waterproof items. Being able to seal a plastic bag and make MRE accessory packs has, I believe, are added benefits.

I also like having the ability to reseal your MRE bag.

here in germany its called "smart sealer" - selled by HSE24 (tv shopping)

2 sealer = 26 euro

i bought it and gave it back 2 days later. i had 3 of them and all do the same: sucking batteries and nothing else. :x

the the MRE pouch didnt do it - and i did it reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly slow :? but the "beef snack" pouch it did very well

on the other hand the sealer is dirty very fast because of the MRE entre pouches :?

 the end of the story i bought a big one - it works better than everything.

my opinion: do it like me and buy a big one at your local retailer.

PS: it only do ONE sealing line - all other i know do one big with up to 4 cm or 3 seperate sealing lines

The Sealer

I like my Euroselaer because it does simple tasks very well. I always keep a good recharger and plenty of rechargeable batteries handy. My digi cam is no different when it comes to batteries.

I cut up a beverage bag in sections to make smaller accessory packets out it. In this case the Eurosealer performed extremely well on the heavier grade plastic providing an air tight seal.

Sometimes bigger is better but for the price its a handy tool to have around.

This tool has out performed my expectations.

JFK06,
Hey, where can I find one of those? I didn't see this thread before making a post on the other topic. Now I know how you got those little bags sealed. AWESOME! How much did you pay for one?

Treesuit:

I paid $7.49 + shipping. I got mine from an Amazon.Com vendor
Eurosealer

You can read customer reviews there. I agree with most of the reviews on Amazon. It's a useful product and for the price it's not a bad deal.

It comes with one warning not to store in a drawer.

JFK06,
WOW, thanks for the tip. For that price on Amazon I have to get one. I think we could start a new thread on the forum page.
