Hello im not sure if i should post this here. but im thinking about importing MREs from some foreign sites to my house(in Japan) and i was concerned about the Japanese customs as they are very strict. Has anyone had issues with importing/Shipping MREs into Japan or can they be shipped without problem?

I shipped a few times to Japan and the buyer never had a problem but that was a few years ago.

Did you have to put any kind of declaration with the Ration?

All of it. 24hrs rations most of the times. Just buy one and see what happens 😉

You could maybe use the buy and trade forums here as they may have a better idea of being able to mark your parcel as camping supplies, where as a store may use more accurate descriptions.

Lots of good sellers here too.

I sent two parcels to japan in the past months, they both went trough customs without any problems.
I declared as camping supplies and included a note inside, that all items are for display and collection purposes only and that they are no food.
One parcel was filled with several single rations, one was a full sealed dutch case wrapped in plastic.
