I think I have gleaned that EPA numbering changed at some point from Roman numerals to Arabic, I to 1?
Now, I saw an EPA on Ebay.uk yesterday and it was definitely Roman i.e. Typ I but the BBD (MHD I think in German) was 2020? All of the other Typ I appear much older? Did they make I II etc. in parallel with 1 2 3 etc.?
Related question, there are not many EPA showing on Ebay.uk but it seems to me that nearly all of the in-date Arabic numbered have the same BBD of 30 April 2019? Was a whole production run given the same BBD? Maybe they are all from the same source coming onto the market now? Some other reason?
Cheers,
Mack

I think it must be a fault by the seller. The new ones all have arabic numbers. That's what i know about it.

There are no parallel ones. Can you post a link over here, so I can have a look at it?

There is only one source for EPas, the "Verpflegungsamt". An Bundeswehr own department that packs the Epas, but no civil company:
The video says, they are making 1.500 each day so you can see 1.500 with the same BBD.

Many people dont seem to actually get the BBDs of rations... I've seen people posting MREs as having a BBD of 15years past the production date... like this for example https://www.todocoleccion.net/nuevo/rac ... x127568251
So its quite posible that the seller saw a production date and posted a BBD acording to what he believes it is...
