ROK armed forces introduced New Combat Ration

Hey guys I have some news about ROK armed forces Ration 
Hope you like it.
Currently ROK armed forces have 4 types of Combat rations
Type1 - Ration,General Purpose (Without flameless ration heater) - Used like TOTM or RIE and 3 menus exist.
Type2 - Ration,Freeze dried -3 menus exist
Type3 - Ration,For Battle, Immediate(With flameless ration heater) - 2 menus exist
Type4 - Food Packet, for Special Operations - 2 menus exist
-Type2 and 3 are kinda 'Acceptable' among ROK soldiers(Type 4 is only issued with Special forces and Long range patrol units and they always remain silent)
actually Type3 is pretty great. at least you can boiling water with flameless ration heater at the field.
But Type1 - aka 'Cardboard Flavored Something' -that is different story. every single soldier hate this.
literally taste like cardboard when you eat cold
If you don't have any method to warm up this ration. then you'll be screwed.
Soldiers Keep on Complaining about Type 1 Ration and recently Korea Food Research Institute(KFRI) and Hanyang university research lab
introduced Type S and L Combat rations for ROK armed forces.
and these bad boys will replace Type 1 and 3 rations.
S means Short shelf life and L means Long shelf life.
According to Current Replacement Plan, Type S ration will replace Type1 ration
and unlike Type1 ration,this will include Bunch of commercial stuffs like tuna cans, luncheon loaf, Cooked white Rice and m&m for dessert.
Nothing special just off the shelf items with Military style packaging. Bummer.
But Type L is diffenent story.
Type L will replace Type3 ration. and they finally expanded to 12menus and added some drinks
(ROK Rations always comes aside with 'Pocari sweat' isotonic drink powers but not in the ration packs till now)

These Type S and L rations are currently on Field evaluation process and if there are no problems These 2 types of rations will be introduced to entire ROK troops in 2020.
and they also have plan to replace current type 2 and 4 rations but still on developing process.
